Tell us who you are and what you do at Game Over?
“My name is Paul, and I am the French guy of the team. I am one of the customer service representatives at Game Over. So, I may work at reception, sell you your arcade cards, selling your activities, take you through Lazer tag and starting your game. I also work at the go karting activity. So, I may be holding your race, I make sure everything is good for the customer from entering the building until leaving”.
What was your last job before joining Game Over?
“Well, I arrived in New Zealand just before the lockdown (2020!) about a month before. I came straight away to Queenstown, and I was working as a car groomer at Europcar at Queenstown Airport. So, I did that for pretty much 2 or 3 weeks…and then it was the lockdown. So that was my last job before joining Game Over”.
What is your favourite activity at Game Over?
“Good question! I really like Lazer tag, the arcade, but to be honest my favourite activity is go karting, it is something I prefer. Something nice! I am trying to get under 26 seconds before the end of the year!”
What is your greatest achievement in life so far?
“Well, I think it is the fact that I have been travelling alone in many countries. In Europe, Asia, South America, Israel. I travelled alone because it was much better for me to meet people, meet strangers. And I had been living in South America for a year and a half, almost. And now I am speaking 3 languages – English, Spanish and French. So yeah, I think that is my greatest achievement in life…so far”.
If you were given $1000 and had one day to spend it, what would you buy?
“Well, it won’t be a surprise for the team at Game Over, but I think I would go to the best restaurant in New Zealand and spend $1000 on food!”
Thank you Paul, our hardest working and fastest team member! Next up on MEET THE TEAM is our new operations manager, Joe!
